GamesRun your own Persona 5 Royal Switch dump natively on an arm64 Android phone or tablet.
This is an Android port of Persona 5 Royal that runs a legally dumped Nintendo Switch copy of the base game (version 1.0.0) on an arm64 phone or tablet. The APK contains only the engine and runtime: the game is read directly from your own .nsp or .xci, and keys stay in the app's private storage. It is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with ATLUS, SEGA or Nintendo.
What changes in the workflow
No PC is involved in playing. You copy the game file and your prod.keys to the phone, install the APK from the releases page, allow all-files access, select the game file and keys in the app, then press Prepare the game. Preparation checks the game and translates roughly 30,000 shaders for your GPU once (about two minutes on a mid-range tablet); keep the app open while it runs. Press Play afterward. The game file must stay in place because every launch reads from it. Saves live in Internal storage/Persona 5 Royal/user/save and can be imported and exported from the home screen; LayeredFS-style mods go under mods/<ModName>/romfs/....
How it works
The runtime reimplements the Switch services, NVN graphics on Vulkan, audio and video decoding, and touch controls, adapted from an MIT-licensed Switch runtime project. The loader reads the game's main and sdk from ExeFS and runs them on the phone's CPU, patching the few instructions that cannot run as-is. The game files are decrypted on the fly as they are read. Shaders are translated from Maxwell to SPIR-V by Ryujinx's shader translator, built into the APK as a native library. A separate static-recompilation build exists for Windows debugging, but it requires privately recompiled game code and is not the shareable artifact.
Requirements and documented limits
- An arm64 device with Android 10 or newer, Vulkan 1.1, and 6 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended).
- About 15 GB for the game file plus about 1 GB for shaders and saves.
- Your own dump of the base game version 1.0.0 (the update is not supported) and your console's
prod.keys; the README does not cover dumping them. - The no-PC flow has been verified on one device only: a Lenovo Tab M11 (Snapdragon 685 / Adreno 610) reached 60 fps in menus, about 14 fps in the 3D title and about 20 fps in the casino. Other GPUs are untested, and the shadows option is costly on weak hardware and off by default.
The project is MIT-licensed, and the README states it was written with substantial AI assistance, directed and tested by a human.
