Overview

char-db-cn is a Chinese-language search interface for 1,027 anime character outfit reference images originally published by たき AI (taki_auto). It keeps all entries from the original site, translates names and categories into Chinese, and leaves Danbooru tags in their original form. The catalog is split across hairstyle, clothing, pose, and assembly tabs; hairstyle covers 306 items and clothing covers 440 items across 15 types, with a further 281 poses in 8 categories.

Beyond browsing, the assembly tab builds a positive and negative prompt from selected slots: hairstyle, bangs, hair color, hair accessory, eyes, clothing, and pose. It offers quality prefixes for Illustrious, Anima, NovelAI, and SDXL/Pony, along with expression, composition, background, body type, and extra tags. You can also export a numbered reference sheet of the selected parts.

It is aimed at people who generate anime character images and want to reuse tags from a consistent reference set without rebuilding prompts by hand.

Quick Start

Open the hosted Chinese interface in a browser. The grid, filters, and local thumbnails work without configuration.

To run it locally, clone the repository and open index.html by double-clicking it; the file must sit in the same directory as thumbs/ so the local thumbnails load. You can then search in Chinese, Japanese, or Danbooru tags, favorite cards with the ★ button, and copy individual tags. Add items to the seven assembly slots, configure the prompt settings, and copy the generated positive or negative prompt from the assembly page.

The optional local-originals mode expects an image directory and a line-art directory. The default paths are set in config.js:

window.LOCAL_ORIGINALS = {
  img: "../二次元换装库/originals/img/",
  line: "../二次元换装库/originals/line/"
};

The image layout is img/<id>.jpg and line/<id>.png. When opened over http/https, including the hosted site, this setting is ignored and the large-image and line-art buttons link to the original site instead.

Constraints

The repository contains only thumbnails for searching; full-size images and line art are not bundled and normally open on the source site. A separate 191 MB pack of 1,027 JPEGs (1024×1536) and 281 pose line-art PNGs is offered through Baidu Netdisk or Quark Netdisk links in the README.

Local-originals mode only works when index.html is opened from the filesystem as a double-clicked file; the http/https hosted version ignores the setting. Pose cards that include line art can switch between the illustration and the PNG line-art version for use with ControlNet.

Reuse terms follow the original site: free use in works, including commercial use, modification, and reference, with no attribution required. Redistributing, reposting, or reselling the image files themselves, including full-size and modified versions, is prohibited, as is use depicting real people or minors. Underwear or sexy outfits, aggressive poses, and bulk original downloads belong to the author's paid edition and are not included here. The repository declares no license, and the README says the material is provided as-is without warranty.

HotRepo's take

The project first appears in HotRepo's new-project list for JavaScript on 2026-11-01, recording 100 stars and 13 forks gained in a growth window of roughly 11 hours. That is a single early snapshot, so it supports neither a trend nor a long-term quality judgment. What the record does show is quick initial interest in a narrow, practical tool: a translated index that turns a fixed reference catalog into a prompt-assembly workflow, rather than a general-purpose image tool. The absence of any GitHub daily rank entry is consistent with that limited early reach.
