nextlevelbuilder/ui-ux-pro-max-skill
Developer ToolsA local design-reference skill for AI coding assistants that generates UI/UX design systems for 192 product categories.
What it is
UI UX Pro Max is an AI skill for coding assistants. It bundles a searchable design catalog and a Python search script so an agent can turn a plain request like "build a landing page for my SaaS product" into a concrete design system: page pattern, visual style, color palette, typography pairing, key effects, anti-patterns and a pre-delivery checklist. The catalog covers 192 product categories, 80 searchable UI styles (51 active), 192 palettes, 74 font pairings, 25 chart types and 22 tech stacks, including React, Next.js, Vue, SwiftUI, Flutter and HTML+Tailwind. The repository also ships an installer CLI that writes the skill into the directory layout each assistant expects.
Getting started
Install the CLI globally, then initialize the skill in your project for your assistant:
npm install -g ui-ux-pro-max-cli
cd /path/to/your/project
uipro init --ai claude
Replace claude with cursor, windsurf, copilot, codex or another supported target, or use uipro init --ai all. For Claude Code, the Marketplace route also works: /plugin marketplace add nextlevelbuilder/ui-ux-pro-max-skill followed by /plugin install ui-ux-pro-max@ui-ux-pro-max-skill. Add --global to install for all projects. Python 3.x is required for the search script; the scripts use only the standard library and make no network calls.
After installation, the skill activates automatically in Skill Mode when you ask for UI work. In Workflow Mode (Kiro, Roo Code, KiloCode), prefix the request with /ui-ux-pro-max. You can also call the generator directly, for example:
python3 .claude/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py "beauty spa wellness" --design-system -p "Serenity Spa"
For Continue and Droid, the skill directory differs (.continue/skills/ and .factory/skills/). Add --persist to write a design-system/<project>/MASTER.md plus optional page overrides. Search results are guidance only; they do not rewrite your application automatically.
Constraints
- The CLI writes assistant-specific skill directories, so install where you want the skill to live or use
--global. --rtlworks only with an explicit--domain styleor--domain product, and is rejected together with--design-systemor--stack.- Human-readable output truncates long fields at 300 characters; use
--jsonfor the full data. - Web-stack guidance is version-aware: explicit legacy versions return curated legacy rows, or nothing when none are curated.
- Uploading the full repository ZIP to Claude.ai is not supported because it exceeds the 200-file limit.
- The project is MIT licensed. A separate premium tier with brand assets and extended design-token architecture is offered at uupm.cc; this repository contains the basic version.
HotRepo's take
The repository has a clear product boundary: the open-source part is a local search and reasoning catalog, while the site sells the premium tier. That split is worth knowing before adopting it, since the free version already covers the core design-system generation. The README is unusually specific about failure modes — token limits, stale CLI versions, symlink install errors and Python gaps — which suggests active maintenance rather than a thin wrapper. Use the catalog and the before/after restyle example as evidence of scope, not as a benchmark of output quality.
