Parcel Shift

Parcel Shift is a single-player browser game about finishing a six-order delivery shift with a van and a small rooftop drone. Parcels are picked up at the depot and delivered around a neighborhood. The van carries up to three parcels at once; heavy parcels stay with the van, while the drone handles light rooftop drops within its range and battery limits. Returning to the depot restocks parcels and recharges the drone.

Orders can be selected to update the beacon, route card и minimap. The game includes pause, shift settlement and restart, and runs without an account or game server. It is built with Three.js, Vite and JavaScript, so it is aimed at players who want a short arcade-style delivery session in the browser rather than a long campaign.

Play and controls

The quickest way to try it is the online build. In-game controls:

Action Key
Drive / fly WASD or arrow keys
Load / deliver E
Launch drone Q
Recall drone R
Handbrake / drone boost Space
Change camera C
Pause Esc

On-screen controls are also provided. Choose an order first, then follow the beacon and minimap to the delivery point.

Run locally

Running the project from source requires Node.js 20.19+ or 22.12+; Node.js 24 is also supported. From the repository root:

npm ci
npm run dev

For a production build and local preview:

npm run build
npm run preview

Constraints

Drone deliveries are limited by range and battery; return to the van to recharge. Only light parcels are suitable for the drone, and the van can carry at most three parcels at a time. Restocking and recharging both happen at the depot.

The game code currently has no separate source-code license. Bundled models and palettes come from Kenney asset packs under CC0, with original license files kept in public/assets/ and sources and checksums recorded in the asset manifest. Third-party asset packs and dependencies are listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

HotRepo's take

HotRepo's only recorded data is a JavaScript new-project snapshot on 2026-11-08: 107 stars and 5 stars gained over a roughly two-hour window, with no forks. There is no GitHub daily-rank record, so the snapshot does not establish sustained traction. What the repository does show is a complete, playable loop rather than a landing page: an online build, keyboard controls, local Vite commands, and asset provenance files. For players looking for a short browser delivery game, that is enough to start; for anyone judging long-term maturity, the missing source license is the concrete limitation.
