What it is

JRAMES is a browser-based interactive graphic novel that tells a story about Solana memecoins, paired with a separate web app that explains token movements. This repository contains the site itself: a scroll-driven narrative in which a marble statue wakes in a hall of dead coins, chooses a living coin, and tears it free from its pill capsule through hold interactions README lines 31–51.

The visual approach is the distinctive part: custom GLSL hatching and engraving shaders render on Three.js and React Three Fiber, using a CC0 mannequin and a public-domain museum scan whose model licenses are documented separately model licenses. Scenes are driven by GSAP and Lenis, reduced-motion preferences are respected, and an orchestral score is synthesized live with the Web Audio API rather than looped from a recording.

The companion app is hosted elsewhere and its backend is private; this repository is not the full product README lines 22–30. It is aimed at people interested in combining scroll storytelling, shader-based illustration, and generative audio in a single React application.

Run the site locally

Node 22.12 or newer is required. From the repository root:

npm install # or: npm ci
npm run dev # serves http://localhost:5173

The commands and expected local URL are given in the README's run section README lines 91–111. For checking changes, the same section documents the test and build commands:

npm test # Vitest with jsdom
npm run typecheck # tsc -b
npm run lint # Biome
npm run build # tsc -b && vite build, output in dist/
npm run e2e # Playwright, starts the dev server itself

Project layout places scenes, audio and UI under src/features/, shared helpers under src/lib/, design tokens in src/styles/tokens.css, and 3D models in public/models/. The README also lists the palette and typefaces, which is useful when modifying the visual system.

Constraints

The repository is all rights reserved, so viewing or running the site does not grant reuse rights license. Only the site is public: the app, API gateway, auth, ingest, scoring and social services described in the architecture diagram are private, so cloning this repository will not reproduce the live evidence app architecture.

The site is a visual and audio-heavy experience; the 3D models and shader rendering are integral, and reduced motion is explicitly supported. The README describes the site itself as a narrative vehicle for a Solana memecoin and states the token has no intrinsic value or financial return expectation, which is context for what the project is, not an invitation to treat it as an investment product.

HotRepo's take

The repository appeared on HotRepo's new-projects list on 2026-11-03, recording 108 stars and 0 forks within a growth window that started at 12:40 UTC and was observed at 16:45 UTC the same day. That is a single short-window snapshot, so it supports only the fact of a fast early pickup, not a trend or adoption claim. What stands out from the technical material is the pairing of custom engraving shaders with live Web Audio in a scroll narrative; the project is worth examining for that rendering and audio approach even though the evidence app itself remains closed.
