KadoBOT/ComfyUI-H3-Continuity-Studio
Media & DesignA ComfyUI custom node pack for planning and rendering multi-shot MiniMax H3 video sequences with visual continuity across clips.
What it does
H3 Continuity is a ComfyUI custom node pack for authoring and rendering multi-shot sequences with MiniMax H3. A Timeline organizes clips, and continuing clips inherit context so selected moments from earlier shots can reappear in later ones, even after an exterior scene or a camera-angle change. The Studio adds story, reference and timeline editing. The pack also provides nodes for saved segments, stills and H3 context windows.
An optional H3 Story feature can plan and write the Timeline through an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, running locally or in the cloud. The example workflow bundles a video pipeline plus an optional still-image subgraph.
Install
- Prepare a current ComfyUI installation with working MiniMax H3 support and its model files.
- Clone the repository into
ComfyUI/custom_nodes/ComfyUI-H3-Continuity-Studio, or extract the source archive there. - From that folder, install requirements with the same Python environment ComfyUI uses:
python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
On Windows portable installs, use the portable python_embeded/python.exe instead of a system Python.
4. Restart ComfyUI and load examples/h3_story_studio.json.
First sequence
After loading the example, select the H3 diffusion model, text encoder, video VAE, audio VAE and optional LoRA that match files on your machine; the example records model names from its original environment and does not download them. Open the Timeline Studio, add a box and supply a prompt, then render it through the connected H3 workflow. Add a second box configured to continue, render it, and inspect the join. Story is optional and requires a separately configured compatible language-model endpoint.
A short contest demo is available to watch before trying the workflow contest demo, and the example is reproducible through the memory demo notes.
Constraints
- Generation needs a GPU and suitable model files; the node pack does not download weights or provider credentials.
- Story sends story text, and optionally reference pictures, to an external endpoint whose privacy and pricing terms apply.
- Context Windows requires a ComfyUI version that contains the core MiniMax H3 Context Windows node.
- Do not install a second copy beside an existing H3 Continuity installation, since both register the same nodes and routes; back up projects before replacing a version.
- The public release excludes the optional MiniMax H3 prompt guides. Place
base-en.txtandref-en.txtinh3_continuity/h3_guide/if you have them under permitted terms; without them the pack still runs and reports the missing guides. - The project code is MIT-licensed, but the H3 model and prompt guides carry MiniMax terms, including territorial restrictions.
Documentation
The full user guide with screenshots is published separately and its source lives in guide/. Deeper reference notes cover Story Studio, external Timeline and continuity checks.
HotRepo's take
This is a young project: created in early November 2026, it gathered 102 to 104 stars within roughly an hour of the sampled window on 4 November 2026, and its Python new-entry snapshot recorded 2 stars gained with no fork gain in that same short window. The sample is far too short to say anything about sustained momentum. What stands out in the material is the explicit split between the node pack and the models: it assumes an existing H3 setup and deliberately leaves weights, prompt guides and provider terms to the user, which makes it a tool for people already working inside ComfyUI rather than a standalone generator.
